For our growing organization, we are looking for ‘Mergers and Acquisitions Manager’ to be based in Headquarter Corporate Finance Department.

What are we looking for in The Mergers & Acquisitions Manager?

  • Ideal candidate must have a master’s degree (MBA preferred) in a related field,
  • 8+ years of professional experience in investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate development at a reputable firm (min 2 years managerial role),
  • Strong business and financial acumen; robust analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills with the ability to deliver on detail as well as strategy,
  • Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills; at ease with both business and technical topics,
  • Team player with a proven track record in building strong, collaborative and supportive business relations,
  • Track record of successfully managing multiple transactions simultaneously,
  • Demonstrated experience to influence without direct authority,
  • Results-oriented, self-starter, able to work autonomously with limited day to day direction.

Position Summary:

The Mergers & Acquisitions Manager will report directly to the Director of Corporate Finance Division. Specifically, The Mergers & Acquisitions Manager will help identify and manage the entire transaction cycle of a deal, analysis, due diligence, deal execution. This high visibility role requires interaction with executive level leadership, effective communication and presentation skills and a robust investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate finance background.

Specifically, The Mergers & Acquisitions Manager will,

  • Work on a range of buy-side and sell-side transactions,
  • Lead industry research to identify strategic acquisition targets, and support development of internal processes to support target identification and evaluation across product lines and regions,
  • Identify potential “deal breakers”, industry, country, and deal-specific risks and opportunities,
  • Carry out day to day management of transactions which includes responsibility for delivery of information memoranda, management presentations, valuation analysis, purchaser co-ordination, and taking responsibility for preparation of information for client/bidder/ stakeholder communications,
  • Make industry research for both deal origination and transaction analysis; drive sound financial decision making throughout the transaction through diligence efforts,
  • Manage the due diligence process including the data room and Q&A process,
  • Supporting both marketing and business development opportunities,
  • Review of valuation materials and financial models,
  • Lead engagements teams on new transactions, guiding the team to prepare focused request lists and agenda, facilitating on-site reviews, and providing leadership over deliverables,
  • Build an understanding of how stages of the M&A lifecycle operate to enhance delivery in own phase of expertise,
  • Coordinate the due diligence in partnership with cross-functional teams, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of all deliverables,
  • Drive day-to-day execution of the acquisition / divestiture process and assist with the implementation of M&A process improvements,
  • Support or lead aspects of post-acquisition integration, ensuring achievement of key deal objectives,
  • Lead ad-hoc requests supporting senior management in business case and valuation decisions.
