OVERVIEW

Worthington Industries is one of the leading multinational industrial companies with production plants in Turkey and head offices in İstanbul. We are looking for a Buyer located in Bandırma, having the following qualifications to be employed in the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors in Supply Chain or Logistics
  
• 1-year of purchasing work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  
• Good command of English (both written and verbal)
  
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Word / ERP
  
• No military obligation for male candidates
  
• Live/Willing to live in Bandırma 
  

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Follows up orders from the system and provides the necessary documentation to supply the material (Certifications etc.) 
• Provides communication between supplier companies and Finance Department, and supports the operations if necessary 
• Carries out operations of imported products within the scope of temporary acceptance and follows up advance, down payment, etc. 
• Prepares order agenda according to the deadline schedule shared by Production and Project team 
• Achieves cost savings goals and delivers the lowest cost alternatives for sourcing of products and services to meet business demands 
• Determines the need for expediting, follows up on late orders and monitors delivery performance taking corrective action as needed 
•  Stays in active communication with shipping companies and customist 
• Other duties as assigned
