Job Purpose

 Lead Supply Chain and Logistics activities in his/her country with a team of supply chain professionals. Develop strategies and plans to build total Supply Chain organization and infrastructure to support business growth. This role will be responsible to develop & execute end to end Supply Chain strategy to support the business. 

JOB responsibilities    

• Ensuring that safety procedures are followed
• Develop and execute Supply chain and logistics strategies aligned with regional and global strategies
• To support business growth and go-direct initiatives within the dynamic emerging market environment.
• Collaboration with internal customers (Sales, Service, Finance, etc.) and external customers
• Collaboration with suppliers (ICO and 3rd party) and local authorities
• Ensure that goods and services are delivered in the most efficient and effective way to meet all stakeholders’ requirements according the applicable Weir policies. Which includes order entry, planning, inventory management, purchasing, custom clearance, shipping, transportation and etc.
• Create a proactive approach and implement solutions for process improvement and sustain continuous improvement environment
• Drive process and system optimization initiatives and establish standards, procedures, performance levels, documentation and etc.
• Managing and ensure tender process in place at all procurement activities,
• Carry out price negotiations and realize cost savings on purchasing projects.
• Processing orders in the SAP system; Follow-up of orders and deadline monitoring, inspection of incoming goods, handling of complaints.
• Performing periodic supplier evaluations and establishing effective supplier relationships
• To update the stocks according to daily and weekly usage amounts and to ensure that necessary corrections are made in case of any non-conformity detected in the warehouse reports;
• Managing the team and create a team environment in such way that all employees can maximize their added value for the company
• Contribute and prepare bi-weekly-, monthly-, quarterly- and yearly- forecast and budget
• KPI performance reporting

Ideal candidate will have the following skills & experiences: 

• Bachelor degrees from universities, Master Degree is a good plus;
• Technical background is plus
• Minimum 7 years of Purchasing experience in Mining, Metals, Machinery,  Automotive, Heavy Industry, Energy, Oil&Gas markets is plus
• Strong team management skills;
• Having great analytical and commercial approach;
• Strong supplier relationship management;
• Very good communication skills;
• Fluency in English is a must.
• SAP knowledge is a plus
