We are seeking a Data Services L2 Operations Senior Specialist with the will and ambition to work in high performing Vodafone Team responsible for Leading Digital Transformation in Turkey, reporting to  Data Services L2 Operations Manager of  Vodafone Turkey.

The accountabilities of this role are:

  • Providing Level 2 operation to ensure high availability and stability for all services those using Broadband, FTTH, DC, Arena Wifi, Internet, Carrier Ethernet and Metro Ethernet platforms. Broadband know how is preffered
  • Capacity management of the Broadband, FTTH,DC, Arena Wifi, Carrier Ethernet and Internet links on a daily basis to ensure that adequate capacity is available to meet with traffic demands
  • Support for L1 and TES teams
  • Operation of IP Transit Network
  • RIPE Management for customer IP blocks 
  • Immediate action and L2 troubleshooting in case of network problems to ensure ultimate availability of platforms which provide Data Services.
  • Support for service delivery teams
  • Backbone Router, Switch and OLT deployment and commissioning.
  • Ensure for resiliency of all network services in case of any outage or service interruption due to operational or external reasons
  • Preparing maintenance and operational procedures for analysing, auditing and fine tuning of Data Services Platforms to ensure operational excellence and develop proactive precautions
  • On-call support for Broadband, FTTH, DC Arena Wifi, Carrier Ethernet, Internet and Metro Ethernet problems during non-business hours for emergency cases
  • Implementing hardware and software upgrades
  • Deep knowledge architectural structure of Cisco, Juniper, Nokia and Huawei product families, routing and switching protocols
  • Technical assistance for L1 and TES teams for solving complex and critical cases
  • Continuous network health check to ensure there is no operational errors or misconfigurations that may affect network performance
  • Watching further redundancy scenarios in line with the effort to add value for the platforms
  • Daily checking of management tools for proactive problem solving
  • Daily analysis of Internet traffic utilizations
  • Daily checking of Ip Usage and traffic for xDSL/FTTH/VFArena/DC Services
  • Analysing network redundancy to prevent service interruptions
  • Device operating system bug check to ensure network stability
  • Network auditing and security check

  • Degree qualified in an Engineering or a Science discipline
  • Significant experience of Ip/Mpls network operation activities on multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, Nokia)
