QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
QUALIFICATIONS:
We are looking for a senior and experienced “Logistics Specialist" who will be able to demonstrate strong will to work in a dynamic environment with multi responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in logistics or similar departments
- Minimum 5 years of experience of all logistics functions and preferably in industrial companies,
- At least two years experience in the sales and/or marketing area of expertise.
- High energy and motivation to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment,
- Good team player with strong problem solving skills,
- Outstanding analytical thinking and reasoning skills,
- Good command of written and spoken English,
- Professional knowledge of MS applications
- Having a valid driving license & no obstacle for frequent traveling
- Knowledge and sourcing capability of trucking transportation, custom clearance, bonded warehouse solution to meet customers expectation
- Residence in Istanbul or Gebze
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Succesfull candidates will
- arrange and schedule transportation of products from the plant to distribution centers, warehouses, and customers to optimize service and cost.
- Make all necessary arrangements to transport finished products from the plant, using common carriers.
- Determine the most effective mode of transportation, negotiate arrangements with carriers, schedule individual shipments, and arrange export documentation.
- Contribute to the development and growth of company’s business activities and revenue from new and existing market segments and channels.
- Contribute to business development strategies and provide input into annual business development plans for relevant area, to reach required business objectives and revenue.
- Work closely with account managers to understand business requirements and market needs.
- Recognize new market segments and opportunities for business development, and makes a calculation of returns and investment.
- Monitor relevant market development activities to ensure that they are in line with company business aims.
- Measure performance against agreed objectives and undertakes remedial action where appropriate.
- Work with other business developers to optimize market segment opportunities.
- Manage and maintain client relations, while realizing renewals and new business with existing clients and acquiring new clients.
