QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Your assets:
- A university degree in Engineering (Preferably Logistics or Industrial)
- 2 - 3 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in automotive transportation & Damage prevention environment is a big asset
- Strong safety and quality mindset
- Dynamic team player with strong communication skills and maturity to coach and train a team
- Result driven, problem solver with strong Excel skills
- Flexible for travelling in and out of Turkey
- Stress resistant, self -motivator
- Fluent in English ( communication, presentation , reporting required )
- As the place of employment is Adapazari (where our Hub is located), preferably living nearby or willing to relocate
Our Company:
- Vehicle Logistics Group (VLG) is responsible to distribute the vehicles produced in our global plants (Japan, Europe, USA, etc) to our customers located in several continents.
- TLST is one of the hubs of VLG located in Turkey.
- Approximately 250K vehicles are produced in a year by Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkey (TMMT) plant and handed over to TLST.
- TLST manages the export activities by closely monitoring yard/truck/port/vessel operations as well as transhipment activities at local and remote ports.
- TLST is constantly seeking to challenge our ‘Plant-to-Retailer’ lead-time, improve our delivery performance and reduce cost through the application of Toyota Production System.
Your challenge :
In order to support the above, you will be joining TLST team and your main function will be:
Safety in Operations:
- Ensuring ; acceptance, yard , truck and ports audits are done by all levels with the requested frequency
- Develop safety measures at working areas
- Follow-up of safety KPI reports with logistics partners
- Ensuring safety standards are in line with plant regulations ( TMMT )
- Joining safety meetings with Brussels head office / logistics partners and plant
Quality in Operational Process:
- Review and develop operational procedures ( acceptance, yard, truck, ports, vessel )
- Follow regular audits to identify improvement points
- Develop damage prevention methodology
- Follow root cause analysis with logistics partners and identify countermeasures for damage prevention
- KPI reporting
Productivity & Efficiency:
- Improve productivity & efficiency in processes by deep analysis of steps ( waste time )
- Design cycle time and takt time based processes
Trainings:
- Schedule trainings for several operation teams ( acceptance, yard, truck, ports, vessel ) on safety/quality/efficiency and keep the records
- Advise logistics partners’ management to schedule internal trainings
Meetings:
- Lead daily morning meetings with logistics partners ( asakai )
- Follow-up weekly & monthly follow-up meetings with logistics partners
- Join telcons with Brussels head office
- Join quarterly meetings in Brussels head office
Controlling Remote Sites:
- Remotely follow up remote ports / sites to support operations and advise improvement points
- Visit remote ports / sites to improve operations in a planned manner
Insurance:
- Register the damage details in common file ( damages at yards/ports/arrival points )
- Follow up repair activities
- Prepare claim documents and follow with insurance company
- Follow up total loss cases with head office and insurance company
Reporting:
- Prepare monthly KPI reports for safety and quality and share with hub manager / head office
Environment:
- Prepare Environmental procedures in line with ISO14001 requirements
- Keep templates updated
- Monitor daily audits
- Prepare the team for internal & external audits
