The role is currently on days-only, but depending on work requirement, shifts and working times may change. Weekend working / shutdown working will also be a key requirement to achieve project milestones.

Team/Division Description:
 
The Vehicle Production Engineering function are responsible for new vehicle, equipment and material introduction. They hold responsibility for the full process cycle, from initial feasibility study by simultaneous engineering, through equipment design, installation and commissioning activity to final trial confirmation and handover to mass production.

Your Responsibilities as a Press Graduate Engineer working for Vehicle Production Engineering:
 
We are looking for a  Graduate/ Engineer to work within the PRESS function of the Vehicle Production Engineering (PE) Division, based in the Adapazari branch of Toyota Motor Europe (Sakarya/Turkey).
 
TME TK PE members, as well as supporting TMMF projects, also support other Toyota EMCs which are located in UK (TMUK), Turkey (TMMT), the Czech Republic (TPCA) and Russia (TMR).
 
The PE PRESS team is responsible for vehicle project, equipment and new material introduction at each Toyota European Manufacturing Centre (EMC). This vacancy will primarily cover activities relating to vehicle, equipment and material introduction projects.
 
Responsibilities encompass a wide range of activities including desk-based work, planning and shop floor trial coordination and follow, specifically:
 

• Process Planning (Schedule creation and follow, liaison with the Production Plants)
• Press die and part quality confirmation (accuracy, surface quality, repeatability, productivity, workability etc.)
• Defect countermeasure identification and implementation
• Handover to Production Plants
• Press related equipment specification creation and vendor selection
• Press trial leadership, trial report creation
• Downstream concern investigation

 
Development of this highly specialised role will be conducted through both the Toyota Graduate Development program and On the Job Development, both within TME and also in other EMC PE branch offices. Further development will also be considered via an International Assignment basis in Japan depending on future business requirements.
 
Specific external training will be provided as necessary and according to project content.
 
The successful candidate will support other EMCs via a number of business trips and must be prepared to travel according to business need.

Place of employment:               

• Candidate will hold a primary (but not exclusive) support responsibility towards the Toyota manufacturing plant in Adapazari (Turkey) and will be based at that location
