QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB PURPOSE To effectively manage assigned resources, departments and/or locations, ensuring that department or operational goals are achieved and processes and procedures are completed promptly and consistently. Ensures that all activities are in line with Company goals and regulatory requirements.Responsibilities may be within a country, across countries or regions.
Recruits, develops, motivates and manages the team performance, including managers, and ensures that team members have the competencies, capabilities & tools to consistently deliver on individual and team objectives. Ensures effective succession planning within team.
Takes overall responsibility for planning within the department/locations, including high level goal setting for department and management team. Ensures effective resource planning within department. Oversees/Leads projects involving significant planned changes within the department and wider business, as appropriate. Contributes to the development of region wide strategies and coordinates planning and implementation activities required to achieve goals.
Ensures managers are effectively communicating and managing processes and procedures to ensure optimal departmental performance. Coordinates the use of continuous improvement practices across department and ensures changes to processes and procedures are documented communicated and managed. Addresses escalated issues and ensure corrective actions are put in place by management team as required. Ensures adherence to Company policies and procedures in order to protect company assets and ensure best practice.
Continuously seeks to develop and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department by ensuring the application of quality driven management (QDM) principles.
Oversees/leads department wide projects/initiatives in order to deliver planned results on time and within budget. Participates in regional, divisional and/or global initiatives as required. Supports the team using project management tools and processes to plan, control and execute projects.
Prepares and submits annual department/location plans, including budget, to senior/executive management. Manages the departmental budget and takes appropriate actions in order to optimize costs and to remain within agreed parameters.
Ensures assigned activities are completed on time and effectively. This includes encouraging the identification of opportunities to improve department quality and productivity, such as developing more effective ways of working that are consistent with internal priorities, policies, external regulatory and legal requirements, while also assessing potential risks to the department, location, related projects or the wider business. Ensures full cooperation and support for internal and external audit processes as required (e.g. by external regulatory bodies).
Builds effective networks relationships within own department and with key stakeholders across the business in order to achieve optimal business outcomes. Maintains external alignments with customers, relevant subject matter experts or external bodies as required. Represents Company in external organisations.
- At least Bachelor degree from relevant departments,
- Very good command of written and spoken English,
- Min 8 - 10 years of management experience preferably in multinational organizations within diverse teams (Project & process management capability is an asset),
- Very good command of related PC tools and applications usage,
- An ideal candidate is expected to have Leadership Skills, Team Working Skills, Problem Solving Skills, Planning & Organizing Skills, Accuracy & Attention to Details.
