Commissioning Mechanical Lead Engineer

We are looking for a 'Commissioning Mechanical Lead Engineer for our EPC type power plant project. Selected candidate is to be based in our Istanbul Head Office during tender and engineering phase, also at site during commissioning period’.

Candidates should demonstrate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of work experience as a Commissioning Mechanical Engineer in Industrial Projects
• Relevant technical expertise (for example in test, design, development and operations.)
• Experience with commissioning gas turbine, steam turbine, HRSG, compressor, pipeline, alignment, vibration, steam blow,
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Leadership and managerial skills
• Commercially awareness
• The ability to work well under pressure
• Team working skills
• Good IT and analytical skills. (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project, AutoCAD)
• Willing to take initiative and work independently when needed.
• Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
• A high level of diplomacy and customer focused.
• Willingness to travel and work in harsh weather conditions 

Main responsibilities are ;

• Support for the preparation & follow of Project Schedule in accordance with contract.
• Preparation of Commissioning Documentation including Commissioning Manuals, Inspection & Test Plans, Inspection & Test Reports and Training Manuals.
• Undertaking Factory Acceptance Testing for major items of plant.
• Attendance at commissioning meetings with representatives from clients engineering and operational teams
• Assist the design team by undertaking site visits to gather information for the purposes of tendering or design prior to construction.
• The commissioning, interfacing and setting to work of equipment, including: Pumps, Pipes (cleaning with chemical, air & flush), Valves, HVAC System, Fire Fighting System, Mechanical Box Up
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors throughout the on-site commissioning process
• Convey the agreed project plans & schedules to Site Planning Team.
• Prepare Daily Weekly & Monthly Reports
• Demonstration of commissioned plant to client’s representatives to gain plant sign off prior to takeover.
