Educational Consultants and Trainers provide a service to the Press’s sales and marketing divisions by visiting educational institutions, understanding their needs and requirements, offering sound educational programmes and giving product and methodological talks. 

About the role 

The highly successful English Language Teaching Division of Oxford University Press is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Educational Consultant to join our successful and driven sales team. The position will be based in Ankara and requires travel throughout the Black Sea Region, Ankara and Antalya. 

The candidate is expected to have the core responsibilities as below: 

• Plans school visiting schedules for self so as to ensure targeted and appropriate coverage. 
• Prepares gives and attends presentations/workshops for teachers and ELT professionals in order to promote ELT materials and gain/maintain adoptions.
• Completes reports for Regional Coordinator as requested to provide feedback on ELT materials and the effectiveness of promotional activities to assist in sales and marketing strategies.
• Develops regular contact with schools, institutions and key individuals there in to secure adoptions, maintain OUP profile and ensure availability and usability of OUP product.
• Provides OUP Central Office in İstanbul with through and up-to-date school records to maximise the effectiveness of OUP database. 
• Coordinates activities with those of local distributors/agents/booksellers as appropriate to motivate said booksellers and ensure the most efficient service possible to educational institutes and/or individuals. 
• Undertakes relevant administrative tasks as necessary to ensure smooth-running of promotional activities of Sales Department.
• Knows well OUP and competing products so as to ensure best-fit to customer needs and minimise competing adoptions. 
• Required to plan and schedule school visiting and set up promotional events within specific ELT seasons and the limited time available to ELT professionals. 

About you 

• ELT qualification and/or experience 
• Have a degree in education or equivalent 
• Sales experience 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Open to teamwork 
• Focus on quality and results 
• Organised, responsive, time management skills 
• Computer literate in MS office 
• A full clean driving license
