Power Systems Manager

We are seeking power systems manager for consultancy and engineering projects related to medium to long term planning of power systems. 

Who we are?

MRC Türkiye (formerly AF Mercados EMI Turkey) is a Turkish engineering and consultancy company based in Ankara. Since 2009, MRC Türkiye has been providing engineering and consulting services for the power sector.

We as MRC Türkiye provide engineering and advisory services within all aspects of Energy and Utility business (Distribution, Transmission, Generation and Energy Markets) and over the entire life cycle (from strategic planning to implementation stage) projects.

Main Responsibilities:

• You will be providing consultancy to electric system operators (distribution, transmission) for development of their network master plans
• Large scale power system modelling, simulation and analysis studies
• Data management of power system models, assessment of development plans, analysis of integration strategies
• Assessment of customer needs, review of literature and analysis of existing practices will be part of your tasks to develop and implement best methodologies for technical studies.
• Development of effective and innovative solutions for technical problems/needs
• Production/presentation capacity of key deliverables (main outcome of project) on time with expected quality
• Self-development about market, business and technical domains during projects execution and by using external tools
• No travel restrictions and flexible working hours
• The works will be carried out in national and international project teams in collaboration with both company’s and clients’ experts and staff. For our international projects you may need to travel abroad. 

Skills and Qualifications:

• B.Sc. degree in electrical/electronic engineering with a specialization in power systems domain (M.Sc. degree is a plus).
• 10 years of experience on power system modelling, analysis and planning is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of power system components, modelling, simulation (power flow, stability analysis, etc.), system planning, network operations and optimization.
• Professional proficiency in English is a must.
• Proficiency in Russian is an asset.
• Teamwork, goal orientation and perseverance come naturally to you, as do excellent verbal and written communication skills and a thorough command of English.
• We expect well-founded expertise, a strong character profile and passion for learning and delivering new topics.
• Knowledge on power system simulation software (e.g. DIgSILENT PF, NEPLAN, CYME, PSS/E, PSS®SINCAL, etc.) is preferred
• Programming skills and experience are preferred
• Knowledge on technologies, state of art and vendor solutions for power systems
• Experience in team management and development
• Project management experience, including budget and schedule monitoring and control responsibilities.
• Experienced in client relations and business development.
• Leader and team player possessing strong planning and organizational skills.
