Responsbilities

• Design and implement: data pipeline, ETL, and data models
• Gather and process raw data at scale (including writing scripts, calling APIs, queries)
• Process structured and unstructured data into a form suitable for analysis

• Process structured and unstructured data into a form suitable for analysis
• Architect and build products to solve business problem using Python/Scala/Spark/AWS/Qubole
• Implementing Machine Learning Algorithms using best in class methods
• Implement Structured Streaming Applications
• Work closely with partner/stakeholder teams to set expectations and make things happen
• Drive the team's design methodology and data quality practices
• Continue to learn/evangelize tools/methodologies in Big Data solutions and technology internally
• Communicate effectively up and down

Qualiftications 

• B.S. in Computer Science or related technical discipline, M.S. preferred
• 5+ years in software development
• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, complexity, concurrency, distributed systems, and software design 
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS), and distributed data processing engines (Apache Spark)
• Both a creative and a critical thinker
• Shown success in a cross functional, collaborative environment with both technical and non-technical peers
• Many years of experience with Bigdata solutions
• Knowledge of mainstream technologies: Apache family: HDFS, Hadoop, beehive, spark, storm, Kafka.
• Search technologies: complete elastic stack, Apache Lucene, Apache Solr
• Java, Python
• English "upper intermediate”
