 Main purpose of the job   

• Secure 100% on-time deliveries to customers, meeting all required supply chain specifications, while continuously reducing inventory levels and supply chain costs.
•  Manage upstream (towards Suppliers) and downstream (towards Customers) physical and information flows of the Plant (and SILS if applicable).
•  Guarantee a flawless Supply Chain launch for new programs.
•  Improve continuously the Plant Supply Chain, based on lean principles and best practices.
•  Ensure the correct use of the Plant ERP system(s) in terms of Supply Chain functionalities.
•  Set-up and commit to the Supply Chain budget and performance metrics.
•  Provide leadership to his/her team (coach, mentor, develop, train) and to local Plant Management.
•  Respect Company Group and/or Division policies and standards.

Scope of the job

Key areas of responsibilities and accountability

• Promote a safety-first climate in all areas of the Supply Chain, ensure that all safety policies are understood and respected, and lead-by-example for the well-being of all  employees and external stakeholders as well as for the overall efficiency.
•  Guarantee a smooth planning cycle through an efficient S&OP, MPS incl. CRP and MRP process so that resources (man / machine / material) are available to meet customer requirements.
•  Target the highest possible level of material control (e.g. goods receipt, internal stock movements, production bookings, scrap reporting, shipping, BOM accuracy, phase-outs, etc.) in order to prevent financial, operational and supply chain risks and if occurring, to be managed properly. 
•  Optimize layout and warehouse operations, respecting FIFO.
•  Drive continuously Supply Chain improvements to exceed targets and expectations as much as possible & develop and review contingency plans to mitigate risks.  Build and implement the Plant Supply Chain Progress Plan and pilot the TPM Supply Chain pillar.
•  Ensure smooth Supply Chain launches for new programs to deliver right-first-time during the project phases according to customer specifications & to meet internal operational and financial premises.
•  Safeguard the correct use of the Plant ERP system(s) in terms of Supply Chain functionalities and initiate action plans in collaboration with Group and/or Division Supply Chain Management in case the existing ERP system is not capable to meet customer specifications (requiring system developments).
•  Establish a robust Supply Chain budget, and review actuals in order to meet the premises.
•  Control all Supply Chain processes through monitoring Supply Chain performance metrics (KPI).
•  Manage and lead the Supply Chain team professionally aiming for the best cultural fit, motivation, well-being as well as individual and team performance.
•  Participate actively to the Divisional Supply Chain network meetings and maintain active communication with Supply Chain leaders as well as with leaders from Quality & Manufacturing , Sourcing, Sales, R&D, Finance, Program … in order to exchange knowledge, best practices, concept developments, market trends, etc.

Skills

•  Sound working knowledge of Supply Chain incl. Risk, Project and Lean Management methods, processes and principles.
•  Strong feeling with ERP system(s), Netsis & SAP is a plus.
•  Fluent in English; good knowledge of other languages is an asset.
•  Education: University Degree (Master) required in a Business, Engineering or Technical discipline.

Experiences

• Proven Supply Chain leadership, preferably in a multi-national environment.
• A minimum of 8 to 10 years of working experience within Supply Chain on Plant management level, preferably in the Automotive Industry.
