We are looking co-worker in-house broker for our 3 chemical tankers (K-OFFSET - K INSET - K ONSET )

Job Description / Taks

• Experience within chemical tankers shipping operations.
• Plans, anticipates, prepares and executes voyage instructions to spot and time chartered tonnage.
• Nominates and or appoints ships Agents, coordinates and monitors cargo and shipping operations. Maintains close attention to operational risks that may increase demurrage exposure
• Complies with shipping department ‘Check List’ to ensure company policy and procedures are adhered to. Coordinates and cooperates closely with all inter-company departments such as dury bulk operations and treasury and, similarly with other third party service providers such as ships Agents and shipbrokers.
• Checks and approves freight and other shipping related invoices for accuracy and compliance with company procedures and delegations of authority.
• Prepares laytime statement for accruals purposes.
• Prepares and maintain basic Excel spreadsheets where required.
• Assists in the preparation of daily/weekly management reports.
• Maintaining awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues.
• Responsibility to ensure all services are promptly ordered & confirmed
• Commercial focus and a genuine interest in the maritime industry 

Skills

• Having degree from a Maritime University.
• Strong leadership and discipline skills required.
• Committed team player with ‘can do – will do’ attitude. Flexible approach.
• Be able to multi-task and perform excellent communication, supervisory and customer service skills
• Be able to identify problems and resolve in a timely manner
• Possess a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks and resources appropriately
• Promote an environment conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and effectiveness
• Good command of English both basis written / spoken
• Able to travel
• Candidates will have at least 5/ 10 years experience within dry operations as well as excellent IT and communication skills
• Having multi task ability
• Having experience of working within a busy and demanding post room,
• Be proactive, professional and have a flexible approach to work
• Having a very strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Must be able to communicate well both verbally as well as in a written format.
• Having excellent ability to use Microsoft Office,  Word, Excel.
