We have opportunities teaching in English: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics to our students who are studying or preparing to study for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. All candidates should have;

      -       Bachelor and/or Master degree in relevant field,

      -       Has the ability to teach in English

      -       Has the ability to motivate, inspire and coordinate a class effectively

      -       Able to work virtually and autonomously to meet deadlines, with excellent    

               organizational and time management skills

      -       Meeting the criteria of the Ministry of Education,

      -       Open for interdisciplinary work,

The Position

All IBDP subject teachers will report directly to the High School Principal and then to the Head of International Programmes, and are required to work collaboratively with all members of the team to ensure the effective operation of the school, commitment to our core values and the realization of our educational aims, mission and vision for learners. Our teaching philosophy is based on constructivist learning theory.

  

Overall Responsibilities

1-Global Citizenship

·       teach with enthusiasm, understanding and commitment to ensure the children’s         

        experiences are positive and underpin their educational lives

·       maintain good order and discipline amongst pupils, safeguarding their health and safety

·       display international mindedness in all areas of work; strive to be a critical thinker,  

        inquirer, effective communicator, principled, balanced, caring, risk-taker, open minded,  

        knowledgeable and reflective teacher

·       demonstrate a passion and knowledge for subject areas, caring and empathy for global 

        issues, and responsible action

  

2-Collaboration

·       co-operate closely with colleagues in the delivery of the curriculum and to contribute 

        purposefully as a member of the school team and department

·       fulfil a range of duties and responsibilities outside the classroom, as required, to ensure 

        the smooth day to day running of the school

·       attend and contribute to departmental and regular staff meetings; to ensure the school 

        achieves its overall educational objectives, aims and purposes

  

3-Curriculum and Assessment

·       provide and deliver the International Baccalaureate Programme

·       set and achieve the highest standards of attainment possible for each child and the 

        class as a whole

·       write/update unit/yearly plans which are annually updated; using Managebac templates 

        as appropriate

·       plan, prepare and deliver an inquiry-based curriculum and provide the teaching 

        materials and resources to meet the wide range of educational needs of the children

·       ensure students successfully achieve all IBDP assessment criteria, both for Internal 

        Coursework projects and External examinations and tasks, report and record pupils’ 

        learning to that their progress and development is consistent and each child fulfils their 

        potential

·       administer ongoing, termly and end of year assessments as appropriate
