Purchasing Manager

Kale Group has partnered with Pratt & Whitney, which operates in the world aviation sector, and has established Kale Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Motor Industry Corporation located in Aegean Free Zone Çamlık Sokak No: 11 Gaziemir/Izmir.

The company, which was founded in 2010 with 51% Kale Group and 49% Pratt & Whitney partnership, is producing aircraft engine parts and sub-assembly groups, and focused on production of F135 which is the engine of the world's most advanced fighter aircraft F35 and also commercial aircraft engine parts.

We are looking for a Purchasing Manager for our company which produces aircraft engine parts in Aegean Free Zone, Izmir.

·University degree (MBA is an asset),

·10 years experience in purchasing area, (5+ years management experience)

·Experienced in general and raw material purchasing,

·Knowledge about buying metal commodity,

·Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English,

·Strong analytical skills with ability to gather and analyze data,

·Demonstrated ability to interact with suppliers in an ethical manner complying with all corporate standards,

·Must be flexible operating in a service-oriented and cooperative manner with ability to prioritize to meet business needs,

·Strong negotiation and presentation skills,

·Teamwork skills, being hardworking, results-driven and solution-oriented way of thinking.

JOB DESCRIPTION

·To manage purchasing processes and practices including planning, order process, release and inventory programs of assigned materials based on production forecasts and schedule,

·To manage the purchasing team according to the defined strategies and parameters in order to ensure improvement projects,

·To direct the bids received in accordance with the pricing and purchase requests in such a way that the company will be interpreted in the best way,

·Purchasing for machinery, building and auxiliary facility investments,

·Assign direct, indirect, service group materials on the basis of the goods group, and assign responsibility to such employees,

·Monitoring and improving the quality of service in accordance with central service agreements,

·Making long term agreements with suppliers and creating cost structure,

·Making confidentiality agreements and contracts with current and potential suppliers,

·Work effectively and cooperatively with management team.
