Commercial And Accounting Manager – Istanbul

What you will do
Commercial and Accounting Manager is a key role, working coordinately with both Finance Manager and General Manager and responsible for our cash flow, collection, commercial, credit controlling, treasury and month-end closing reports. You will be based in Istanbul and will be a part of an international organization.

How you will do it

As a Commercial and Accounting Manager, you will manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash flow management, general ledger, treasury (financial instruments), cash forecasting, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, bad debt process and credit control /FX management.

You will monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements; coordinate the collection process and apply strategy and preparing special reports; perform financial planning, forecasting, controlling, reconciliation of project cash flow and constant deviation analysis; conduct identifying, evaluating, and assessing risks & opportunities and strategies; month and end-year closing in accordance with USGAAP standards.

You will also ensure compliance guidelines for commercial aspects, e.g. risk management process; be involved in project management with the timely issuing of invoices with a strong focus on managing Account Receivables; manage the customer / supplier currency; actively communicate with customers’ commercial representatives and manage resolution of commercial issues; complete audits; maintain accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts and defining accounting policies and procedures.

What we look for

Required

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration or equivalent
• +10 years of total professional experience
• Adequate professional experience focusing on Finance/Accounting/Treasury
• Strong Accounting background
• Ability to effectively manage non-financial audience from different backgrounds and to communicate financial issues with banking/finance enterprises in a highly professional manner
• Fluent language skills in English and Turkish – written, reading, spoken

Preferred

• Experience in an international construction/ HVAC/ energy industry company
