We are looking for a highly motivated “Proposal Engineer” for our Head Office in Istanbul.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Mechanical Engineering bachelor degree from reputable universities,1 to 3 years of experience for similar positions,
• Have a knowledge of construction materials for refinery, petrochemical and power plant projects is a plus,
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications,
• Understanding of various contracting methods used locally and internationally,
• High standards of accuracy, being proficient at working to tight deadlines and under pressure, and be able to prioritize tasks,
• Good command of written and spoken English, speaking French is a plus,
• Excellent written and verbal communication and persuasive skills,
• Problem solver, analytical thinking, with an ability to query and research,
• Team player, result-oriented with strong planning and organization skills,
• Excellent time management skills, rigorous and detail-oriented,
• Being flexible in working hours,
• Have no travel restrictions,
• For male candidates, military service must be completed.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Assisting proposal activities including the review of Request for Quotation (RFQ) requirements, preparing proposal documentation, cost estimating, creating schedules and other requirements, 
• Establishing, maintaining, improving and ensuring the accuracy of proposals database and records, 
• Attending clarification meetings with Client when required, 
• Being familiar with the general specifications and market requirements. 
• Carrying out technical presentation of project execution plans and providing clarifications and resolving queries, 
• Attending site visits as needed to become acquainted with site conditions and take account of these in the technical proposal, 
• Collecting material and subcontractor prices, preparing price quotations, creating price analyzes and preparing business plans,
• Preparing all executive and technical files related to proposal,
• Reading and evaluating the contract and specifications within the tender dossier and reporting the information obtained,
• Examination of the projects to be prepared for the proposal, surveying of the quantities and exploration, reporting of the information related to the project, taking out the metering when necessary,
• Preparation and issue of cost control and budget planning reports, if needed,
• Preparation and follow-up of daily and weekly activities,
• All other duties as relevant to the role.
