Role Summary/Purpose:

At GE Digital, we are creating technology and solutions to enable social, mobile, analytical and cloud capabilities for the Industrial Internet. The Industrial Internet is an open, global network that connects people, data and machines. It’s about making infrastructure more intelligent and advancing the industries critical to the world we live in.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

•Performs a variety of data loads & data transformations.

•Working knowledge of methods for parsing, formatting, & transforming data into units consistent

with analytical needs.

•Performs integration of multiple data source-formats into master data load.

•Must have good communication skills - both oral and written.

Qualifications/Requirements:

•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent (STEM).

Desired Characteristics:

Technical Expertise:

•Experience with SQL and databases.

•Knowledge of Linux commands and bash scripting is plus.

•Translates analytics problems into data requirements.

•Understands the technology landscape, up to date on current technology trends and new

technology.

•Knowledge of Big data related technologies (Spark, Hive, YARN, Kafka etc.) is plus.

•Demonstrated awareness of how to function in a team setting
