What You Will Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Control / Automotive Engineering disciplines, Master's or PhD degree is an asset
- 3+ years of experience on power electronics inverter / converters control, electrical systems, electrical drives modeling, power converter control modeling, automotive controls and SW development
- Excellent knowledge of system Dynamics, modelling, controller design and algorithm development
- Excellent knowledge of motor control algorithm for PMSM/IM motor/generator (Torque and speed control)
- Develop motor control with sensor and sensorless control (Kalman, resolver, encoder, hall effect sensors, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of the control of voltage source and current sourced power converters.
- Integrate and debug motion control models, including inverters, fuel cell and motors, cooling systems, sensors , Systems controllers
- Familiarity with motor control-related power electronics (three-phase inverters, MOSFETs, IGBTs, snubbers, gate drivers, DC bus capacitors)
- Model based Sw development with MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE/ETAS Tools
- Basic proficiency with embedded firmware development in C/C++
- Excellent ability and skills with CAN bus, RSxxx buses, Ethernet
- Hands-on experience working in high voltage high power test environment
- Experience with safety software development based on ISO26262 is a plus
- Able to provide technical guidance to team members on what, why, and how
- Good English skills (spoken and written)
- A highly motivated self-starter and team-player with very good communication skills
- Willingness to travel abroad
- German is a plus
What Will You Work On
As a Power Electronics Control Engineer in the eDrive & Power Electronics Department of FEV Turkey, you will be part of a highly skilled team driven to control xCU hardware and power electronics products and develop state of the art algorithms, functions.
- Model-based algorithm software development in MATLAB/Simulink environment
- Control of traction inverter, on-board charger, DC/DC and other power converters
- Hand coded algorithm and Sw development whenever/whereever necessary
- Systems engineering and system analyses
- Maintain awareness of and influence research and development in key component technologies that influence future inverter / motor designs and motor control
- Requirements engineering and management at system and/or component level
- Review customer requirement specification, standards or other documents with sw specific requirements as well as derive control architectures and specifications
- Develop sw verification test plans, safety and standards compliance test plans
- Execute Hardware-in-the Loop and dynamometer test/characterization, tuning, and verification against machine controls requirements
- Working closely with other FEV locations
