RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Lead, coordinate and communicate all ESIA activities of Alamos Gold’s mining projects in Turkey, 
• Act as a focal point in coordination of technical and social aspects of ESIA process together with relevant technical personnel of Alamos team and directly reporting to HSE Manager, 
• Work with and guide the external consultants to ensure timely completion of ESIA components such as baseline studies, impact assessments, management plans, disclosure activities and other necessary works, 
• Organizing meetings and calls periodically to ensure a clear communication between Alamos team, lenders and consultants, 
• Manage and coordinate gap analysis studies for different sites, 
• Preparation of tendering documents as needed, 
• Prepare, review and monitor all ESIA documentation ensuring a consistent and up-to-date documentation system, 
• Compile and maintain ESIA database and records, 
• Formulate and track ESIA schedules and budgets, 
• Prepare and submit periodical reports to all parties, 
• Plan, coordinate and supervise auditing activities within the scope of ESIA studies,
• Monitor ESIA performance indicators and provide advices to improve the performance,
• Other duties within HSE Department as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Studies or related science program,
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment studies preferably in mining industry, 
• Must have a knowledge of environmental and social requirements and guidelines of WB, IFC, EBRD, Turkish regulations and Equator Principles,
• Experience in environmental permitting would be an asset,
• Experience im ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Management System would be an asset,
• Proven ability to communicate with key stakeholders including community members and government agencies,
• Proven ability to work independently and in a professional manner,
• Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively with regulatory agencies and with management, at all levels,
• Good knowledge of the complete Microsoft Office package,
• Excellent level in English,
• Willing to relocate Çanakkale.
