Senior Database Administrator

As Dinamik Teknoloji, we are looking for a “Senior Database Administrator”for our newly formed software team, which is located in Gebze Teknopark. You will be working on our biggest automotive aftermarket B2B systems renewal project in Turkey, especially the global B2B project.

We work in agile teams and in this role, you will be a part of our frontend and backend teams. You will work very closely with UI / UX Design and Backend teams with the goal of building components and implementing features. Teams have the freedom to choose their own methodology between Scrum and Kanban as long as they can establish improvement in each cycle. We have product owners in charge of the product backlog and we value improvements in small increments rather than large batches.

Responsibilities:

• Working with relevant IT teams, making topology analysis of existing MSSQL Structures,
• Improving Performance Tuning & Security through Database Performance Tools,
• Periodic implementation and automatic reporting of Backup Restore Recovery procedures,
• Playing an active role in solving database-related problems,
• Supporting the existing IT Reporting team in the database area,
• Preparation, editing & monitoring of related Mirroring & Replication infrastructures (mastery of Dataguard, AlwaysOn, High Availability tools),
• Technical leadership in database projects,
• Implementation of database standards, preparation of technical documentation,
• Reporting Institution Database Procedures in IT Audits.

Qualifications:

• Graduated from Engineering departments of universities (preferably related to Computer or Mathematics Engineering),
• 5+ years of experience in the field,
• Experienced in Windows MSSQL, Linux operating system, Data Guard,
• Performing installation, management, maintenance and updating of MSSQL databases, Performance tuning, Capacity planning, Backup, Business continuity and DB Security management issues,
• Able to provide Project DBA support to the Software Project & IT Business Development group,
• Knowledge of Data Governance, ETL Reporting,
• Good level of English,
• Capable of teamwork,
• High analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
