Environmental Engineer

We currently have an exciting vacancy for an Environmental Engineer working with our highly appreciated team in Danone Waters, Turkey. As part of the Water Engineering team, you will support planning, definition, implementation and reporting of integration activities, in particular working with requirements and other functional teams to define environments or combinations of environments.

Your Main Responsibilities As An Environmental Engineer Will Involve

o   Provide environmental engineering guide to manage the performance issues

o   Provide environmental engineering analysis to optimize Danone Turkey Waters’ operation of environment plants in line with Danone Nature standards by optimizing the cost.

o   Oversee nature audits and condition assessments of Danone and Danone Turkey Waters’ assets and review associated technical reports.

o   Support internal and external communications, engaging with the community and CBUs and WBU activities.

o   Understanding of the regulatory framework related to waste water processing.

o   Obtain, update, and maintain plans, permits, and standard operating procedures.

o   Monitor progress of environmental improvement programs.

o   Assess the existing or potential environmental impact of land use projects on air, water, and land.

o   Assist in budget implementation, forecasts, and administration.

o   Coordinate and manage environmental protection programs and projects, assigning and evaluating work.

o   Prepare hazardous waste manifests and land disposal restriction notifications in terms of Danone Standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

o   Experience in environmental qualification of food & beverage industry.

o   Key knowledge has to be around wastewater treatment, carbon footprint management, and experience on the field would be appreciated.

o   Successfully manage / prioritize assigned projects to achieve required project outcomes and milestones.

o   Degree in Engineering (Environmental ...etc )

o   Min 2 years of experience in environmental process development, management, reporting.

o   Good networking within the industry and the administration.

o   Strong in teaching skills.

o   Strong leadership and teambuilding capabilities (project management certification is a plus)

o   Autonomous and pragmatic, having the doer mindset and task oriented.

o   Self-motivated, working and following his/her performance via clear KPIs.

o   Fluent in English.

o   Able to co-ordinate multiple activities in different locations, no restrictions to travel (travel time is around 50% of the total time)
