Senior Linux System Administrator

We are looking for a “Senior Linux System Administrator” who would like to work in a challenging environment in entertainment industry.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor systems and services, resource utilization, for problem detection/alarming, trend analysis, capacity planning,
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the IT infrastructure,
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution,
• Root cause analysis,
• Establish standards for UNIX/Linux OS installation and configuration,
• Support and maintain IT infrastructure applications,
• Execute pro-active maintenance,
• Ensure and improve availability to meet agreed SLAs,
• To operate, and maintain production, test and development servers, virtualization environments and associated storage systems,
• Design and implement monitoring systems and procedures for 7/24 uptime requirements of extremely critical systems,
• Ensure security levels across all servers through configuration and regular patch management of both the operating system and application.
• Analyze and optimize performance of systems, eliminate bottlenecks, plan for capacity upgrades.
• Perform data integrity checks and harden security of systems along with audits and procedures.

Qualifications:

Minimum 4 years of experience in:

• Linux System Administration experience with RedHat, CentOS, SUSE Enterprise Linux
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking. In depth knowledge of Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, httpd,firewall, openssl, tcpdump, bind ..etc)
• Bash Scripting / Programming ability to write automation scripts from scratch as well as read/update/modify existing scripts
• VMware virtualization environments
• Managing web application software, server scripting modules, and related infrastructure and DevOps components (e.g., Apache, Tomcat, Java, SSL)
• Planning and designing for changes under change management procedures, foreseeing risks and mitigating them
• Knowledge of Ansible, Puppet, Docker and Kubernetes are plus
• Understanding of open source server software (such as NGINX, Apache, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch
• Experience with continuous software delivery pipelines and containers
