We are looking for a Import Export Specialist to be employed for 12 months at Baxter Turkey with following qualifications:


Who you are

  • University degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Customs & Trade
  • Minimum 5 years of years of related experience in multinational companies preferably in medical device and/or pharma sector
  • Awareness of industry trends and developments in pharma and/or medical device import/export compliance
  • Have solid knowledge on customs regulations
  • Demand planning knowledge is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with complex systems
  • Exposure with Netsis or JDE systems usage, good MS Office applications knowledge
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage a number of time sensitive work streams/projects concurrently, and work effectively in a complex, rapidly changing environment
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Excellent internal and external relationship management skills


The Job
 
The job as Import/Export Specialist at Baxter is a great opportunity to develop your professional career in our Supply Chain area. You will be responsible for; 

  • Manage inbound/outbound shipments by liaising with internal and external requestors
  • Single point of contact for import – liaise with Baxter team in Belgium
  • Pivot role in order to balance imports vs inventory cover in Turkey 3PL warehouse in close collaboration with Demand  Specialist
  • Follow-up stock, forecast and sales realization on regular basis for export flow
  • Receive orders from export clients and create the orders in Netsis and in JD Edwards, coordinate order preparation and transport plans with clients
  • Inform customs and preparation necessary documents (Commercial Invoice, packing list, etc)
  • Follow- up customer payments, letter of guarantee documents and customer agreements;  provides documents to customs office
  • Data entry to company import/export systems
  • Manage customers in terms of order processing, order follow up, on-time deliveries with high level of service rate
  • Identify customer's needs and determine appropriate action according to supply chain constraints
  • Evaluate, investigate and resolve customer complaints
  • Coordinate and manage the status of returns with sales team, customers and 3PL warehouse
  • Booking of return/refusal invoices in systems
  • Support all aspects of service to the customer including master data management
  • Initiate and implement initiatives which improve customer service and responsiveness
  • Coordinate stock availability with planning specialist and communicating to customers
  • Provide shipment information to customers
  • Proactively communicate supply chain issues about customers and provide solutions
  • Single point of contact for Baxter Turkey on all trade compliance matters
  • Monitor local Customs Community Directives and pharma – medical device regulations, aligning business process to comply with changing requirements
  • Interface with government authorities as required
  • Manage export and import license application processes when needed

Finally you will report to the Customer Operations Manager.

 

Preferred Candidate

3 - 5 years of experience
Bachelor’s(Graduate), Master’s(Student), Master’s(Graduate), Doctorate(Student), Doctorate(Graduate)
Completed, Exempt
English(Reading : Advanced, Writing : Advanced, Speaking : Advanced)
