Junior Structural Engineer Job Profile

Arup is one of the world's top engineering and consultancy firms. We are seeking a Junior Structural Engineer for our  Ankara  Office to strengthen our Structural Team.

·       Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from reputable universities,

·       MSc in Structural and/or Earthquake Engineering is preferable,

·       2 years of design experience,

·       Reading of structural drawings is a must

·       Working knowledge of standard office programs (MS Office, CAD),

·       Knowledge and experience on common structural analysis software,

·       Knowledge and experience in coding languages is preferable,

·       Experience in local and major international codes,

·       Excellent command of English, both written and spoken,

·       Self-motivated, eager to learn and to take responsibility for challenging projects,

·       Effective communication and presentation skills,

·       Able to work as an effective team member, result-oriented,

·       No travel restrictions (national & international),

·       For male candidates no military service obligation.

JOB DESCRIPTION

·       Checking structural documents of existing buildings,

·       Visual inspection on site for the buildings and determining the wrong site applications,

·       Checking structural member capacities by hand calculations,

·       Preliminary and detailed assessment of existing buildings,

·       3D modelling, analysis and design of the different types of structures,

·       Performing calculations and preparing reports through all design stages,

·       Checking construction drawings before submission.
