AKWEL

MAIN MISSIONS

• Liaise with Ford Otosan R&D, Ford Global Engineering and CAD Personnel to develop good CAD relationships between the customer and the relevant AKWEL Organisation for coolant hose.
• Be the Primary point of contact between AKWEL and your customers for CAD design matters across all AKWEL product groups.
• Assist the acquisition of new business by presenting AKWEL CAD competencies to your customers, generating CAD design and engineering interest, obtaining any CAD information from the relevant AKWEL Product Groups, establishing CAD requirements and assist in the preparation of CAD solutions in a timely manner.
• Locally manage the CAD design process for nominated programs.
• Work in parallel with the AKWEL Engineering personnel to deliver the nominated programs.
• Ensure AKWEL Engineering and Project Managers have correct information to support smooth new product introduction to your customers (supporting builds, change management process etc:).
• Investigate & follow-up opportunities for introducing new AKWEL Automotive products to your existing customers.
• Support VA/VE and other cost reduction activities.
• Follow all relevant AKWEL procedures and support activities necessary to comply with AKWEL Quality and Environmental standards (ISO/TS16949, ISO 14001 etc).
• Produce monthly program status reports detailing your CAD and engineering support activities, reviewing all current programs, identifying program package issues with methods of closure.

SKILLS PROFILE

Qualifications and Experience:

• University degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering

• Rigor, autonomy, ability to put forward suggestions, creativity in simplicity, interpersonal skills, respect for confidentiality, 3D craftsmanship and visualization skills,
• Command of office automation systems and MS Office (Catia, Portal, PDM, Word, Excel, PowerPoint…),
• Good command of verbal and written English, a second language will be an asset,
• Residing in Anatolian side of Istanbul or Kocaeli,
• Male candidates must have fulfilled their military obligation.

• Experience with CAD tools and ISO design & drawing standards,
• Good understanding of metallurgy and/or plastics engineering, more particularly design rules and layout drawings, depending on the scope of application,
• Command of Functional Analysis, failure mode analysis for products/projects (FMECA).
