We seek for “HEAD of LEGAL TURKEY” with overseen country responsibilities of Azerbaijan and Georgia, who will be able to demonstrate knowledge in Hitachi ABB Power Grids in Dudullu location in Istanbul with below qualifications;

Your background

• University degree in Law.
• A practicing lawyer with at least 10 years’ working experience in a major corporation or in a leading law firm.
• Good level of knowledge in fields of corporate law, commercial law, civil law, labour law, M&A, antitrust law, public procurement law, administrative law and litigation.
• Fluent English and Turkish is a must.
• Excellent analytical skills with an ability to identify and appreciate the significance of legal and integrity issues, recognize legal and reputational risk and develop cost effective legal and business resolutions.
• Self-motivated and being able to work autonomously in a demanding commercial environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and being able to work effectively with business clients and internal and external stakeholders.
• Exposure in international legal environment.
• Military service completed for male applicants.

Your responsibilities

• Ensuring all legal entities of Hitachi ABB Power Grids in Turkey and overseeing country activities meet Hitachi ABB Power Grids Group and relevant local law requirements.
• Developing close working relationships with key stakeholders and taking a proactive approach in supporting the management of legal and integrity risks.
• Perceiving the impact on the business deriving from the changes in law and recommendıng the appropriate changes/actions to the management.
• Participating and giving assistance in corporate matters (Board of Directors, Shareholder’s Meetings, M&A) and managing corporate housekeeping, having fiduciary duties as a board member/management team member (if appointed).
• Supporting in achieving legal, governance and integrity objectives through implementing local law requirements and Group policies.
• Reviewing bids, negotiations, contracts, policies and other legal documents from vendors, customers and other third parties ensuring compliance with local law requirements and Group policies.
• Administrating Data Privacy, including compliance with Group regulations.
• Budgeting the function costs and ensuring the respect of the budget.
• Supporting business units in managing contractual claims.
• Participating in and promoting activities to ensure employees conduct business with integrity in accordance to the organization code of conduct, Group directives and local laws.
• Supporting the development of local policies, procedures and integrity frameworks to promote risk and integrity management (including reporting and conducting integrity investigations).
• Providing training to employees on contractual and integrity matters.
• Raising and defending litigation matters brought against the company using relevant external experts.
• Ensuring that all external legal advice is provided in a cost effective way including managing the outsourcing of that work.
• Developing and delivering a Country Annual Integrity Training Plan as incorporated by the Group Annual Integrity Training Plan.
